I have been around the US and Australia in area is the same as the Continental US excluding Alaska and Hawaii. Vastly more areas here than in the US that you can go Off Roading .Yes there are paved roads that cross the Nation but a lot of more developed roads stick to the coastal areas where most people live.
The "Off Road Travel Trailers" built by such such Companies as Artic Fox are normal Caravans here except we got rid of flipped axles and leaf springs a long time ago.They are good for some dirt road travel, but are limited by their build and suspension.
Off Road Caravans are in a whole different league.Something that does not exist in the US.
As a result US 5vers, are limited to where they can go here and to treat them the same way as many Caravans you were asking for trouble.
There are some small companies that do build Off Road 5th Wheelers. Here is one Southern Cross Caravans.
Biggest problem I've had is fine dust getting inside.
Pressure points inside a Off Road caravan get rid of that.
