Which I said there was more unpaved roads rather than paved. Seeing that there are 3oo million people, yes overall there are more paved roads as against unpaved in the US. In the Australia, the word "road" is a nebulous one when you are going off road. The CIA figures apply to graded dirt roads, not non-graded "roads" that you find in the desert and some of the tropical areas.
Which if converted to per head would work out to 5.3 million paved and 7.3 million Km unpaved
