- PaisleyDaleExplorerHere in Oregon our auto fee is $86 for 2 years. RV's are by the foot, mine is 35' with is $249.75 for 2 years. The first registration is $77 for title and if your auto/RV does not have plates ($24 for auto/MH and $12 for trailer)these are one time fees. I am very lucky, I have a Disabled Veterans plate, cost $39 and no renewal fees. Had on my auto, transferred to a MH for $6, traded MH for FW and transferred to FW for $6. We do have high gas tax, high property tax, no sales tax - but I think we should have a sales tax, just not trust that any other tax will go down. Visitors to like no sales tax.

Here in the great state of Taxafornia, our 2013 class A renewal came to $ 846.00 for 1-year. And, California still has the worst roads in America!!
The price to live with the Mile & Honey and the Fruits and Nuts.
LOL
After we moved out of Cali they were still trying to bill us for a couple of years. Had to send em a copy of our Idaho registration.
That sounds like when I joined the Navy when I lived in Escondido Ca.
I was Stationed at Pearl Harbor Hi. Every year at tax time state of Cal tried to get me to pay state Income Tax. Military personnel stationed out side of California are exempt and not pay State taxes. Had to have H & R Block send letters to the state for five straight years. Before they stopped sending the latters.
Sounds like things haven't changed in Cal.

In Oregon (pronounced Orygun) fees are assessed by the foot and good for two years. IIRC, our Arctic Fox 29-5T is about $270 for two years.
Looks like what we will be paying this next spring! We just picked up our new to us 05 Copper Canyon a year ago April. We added about 3' so we should be in that $270 range for two years.
No wonder there were so many tent campers out this 4th at Stub Stewart SP! - ChiefcpoExplorerJust renewed mine Friday 2011 nf350 drw tax, tag and all 238.06.,. 2012 Montana Big Sky 3625RE tax, and tag 357.71 .. Guess I better be silent.
- cdlaineExplorerChooChoo,
I found it deep in my notes in the "I hate bodacious taxes"
file...
Az. adds a personal property tax when you register your
vehicle...based on a vehicle value they determine....then hides
it in the vehicle registration fees.
just for gits and shiggles...
as far as I can cipher... may differ in various burbs and parts
of the state...
Az. Personal State Tax.. 4.2 %
Az. Sales Tax .....
State 6.6 %
County 0.7 %
City 2.0 %
____________
9.3%
oops ! forgot Property Tax....
complex... a Primary and Secondary fee structure...
looks like about $1.18 per $100 of Assessed value.
I think ...not a CPA....just a check bouncer. Lots of
foreclosures...state revenue streams dry as a dusty gulch.
note.. last I checked...
Az. adds $0.18 cents per gal. tax to the Fed. Gas tax.
another beer please.
Charles
late edit... please don't hold me to these numbers..they were
accurate last year... things change. No sequestration on my taxes.
I still think my 5ver renewal over the top.
