5ver registration renewal pain.....

Missouri -- $50. for a permanent RV tag! No renewals!

Cars renew for about $70. for two years.

I believe we pay only 24.00 a year. They do get us on all other taxes.

Florida, Class A RV $72.40
Truck (by weight) $70.65
Trailer (by weight) $38.65
so about $110 for truck and trailer.

Honestly don't know the answer. Will research.

Here is our State DMV comment on registering RV's and
Motor Homes...(perhaps the problem lies in considering an RV
a "Motor" Home/Passenger vehicle ???).

"Motor homes and RVs need to be registered and titled just like other passenger vehicles and they have to be inspected, too. The title fee for a motor home is $7, and the registration fee will follow the same guidelines as those for personal automobiles".

Maybe I just don't understand it. Still seems excessive.

Here is the question? Do you guys with high registration fees also pay a property tax to the town for that vehicle. I pay like $20 a year in registration, but pay about $75 a year for property tax.

The Trip Permit evasion tactic did work but it could be costly if you got caught as the RCW has language concerning tax evasion and use more than a few times on the same vehicle in a certain time span.

Mine was +/- $70 but am in King County with the "extra" tab fees for Mass Transit.But a far cry form the OP's cost!

the fee is excessive...but I'm biased.

Mr. Michigan... that rate structure seems more reasonable.

In Michigan it's $200 up to 10K and $300 over 10K for a permanent trailer registration.
