I have owned both and will never go back to a TT. Just the room alone in a 5er is enough to make me not go back. The driving is so much easier with it as well, and you don't get pushed around on the highway like you do a TT. As far as the bed is concerned you have the room in front of the hitch and also the area underneath, and there is plenty more storage in a 5er than a TT. It also hooks up much easier and you are on your way quicker.
