Had TTs for a lot of years.
Don't have a clue what you're talking about as far as "roll back and forth".
The "poor road" affects each the same.

Real World:
First 5er resulted in a very noticeable *MAJOR* difference - - you almost forget it's back there!
Tows way better than any TT I ever had.

Only negative is you lose most of your pickup bed space for carrying motorcycles, bicycles, etc.

Since you're not upgrading "for a couple of years", I wonder why you are bothering to ask *now*??
(Likewise - why I am replying, LOL!)

In a couple of years you may decide you need a MH..:S
