Yes, I think so.

Can you lift the entire 5er off the ground?

You can, but Lippert says not to do it. I’ve done it when I put on my Moryde 4000 and wet bolt kit and would use it to change a flat if needed.

Do 5ers with this system still jiggle as a person walks around inside?

Yes, we still have some movement.

Is there a down side to these systems?

I haven’t found one yet, and I wouldn’t by another rig without it.

Exactly as I have found on mine after 2 years, I won't buy another without it. Yes they do lose calibration, zero point in their language. Easy to reset just follow the manual. I think I have done it 2 or 3 times in the two years and I use my 5W traveling about 9 months a year.
