A tire issue..??

This is what the folks at Wingfoot said -
Appearance -Even Tread wear in center with steps worn in Shoulders. this is confined to the outer portion of the shoulder rib.

Probable Cause - Typical if radial tires in slow wearing operations. May vary with tread design and service applications

Tire - Little or no loss in overall mileage will result provided tread depth differential is not excessive. Tires can remain on the steer axle.

So that's both Goodyear and MORryde telling me its very common... Thanks for fast the responses gang !

In fact , they pulled up a picture from their computer that was exact to mine. the pic was form the site indicated by "CapriRacer"

Not quite as pronounced as the op but there is the same wear and ridge you can feel. Prob in the neighborhood of 10-15k mi.

13/32nds on center groves, 12/32 on outer groves. 80 psi tires run them at 80.

Well . The folks at MORryde just answered me back and they say that it looks like normal wear that a G-614 have..

They did tell me to raise the trailer and check the bearings for tightness , but they are pretty certain that's normal wear...

In fact , the guy who answered (Gary) , has a 15,000# camper with the G-614's and IS suspension. His tires looked exactly the same on the inside edges .. He was able to get 60,000 miles before changing them out..

I am taking a trip over to Wingfoot later this morning to verify...

My G-614's look somewhat like that.. I just bit the bullet and upgraded to the 17.5 G114's... Have not installed them yet , just got them this week and been busy .. My tire guy told me that wear looks to be on the lines of normal wear for the use???
So I reached out to Trailer Tires and Wheels and had Scott hook me up!

The trailer has the Mor/Ryde IS suspension on it... The tires may have 20,000 miles on them... Give or take.. And the outside tire edge has a very minor step,, barely noticeable.
All 4 are almost identical in wear pattern

According to the "Radial Tire Conditions Analysis Guide" published by the Tire Maintenance Council, that is common on slow wearing operations on steer axles and nothing to worry about. Perhaps Goodyear may do something, perhaps not.

4th season? How many miles on them?

Axles that have lost their arch would give the same profile, with negative camber to the wheels. First step is an alignment check, IMO.
