A/C Condensation

To all who have given me advice on how to remedy the A/C condensation I want to thank you. My feedback to you is this, we found that the intake side of the front A/C unit was not sealed properly during the install (2nd unit) we sealed the inside with aluminum tape and we have had no further problems with the A?C unit. Again I thank you for your assistance and great advice.

This happens to us every time we are in Myrtle Beach in the 90 degree temps. But Does not do it when we are inland or lower humidity areas.

Don't assume that a new RV has clean filters. Ours came with so much sawdust in the filters and duct work I had to clean before we could use it.

I get this in my open range at times. Opening the skylite vent over the kitchen an inch or 2 seems to solve the problem. I think it is letting some of the moisture out of the RV. I also have to do this in the heating season or the windows all fog up.

Vents should almost all be closed othe than exhaust vents. The AC in a camper works like a car on Max Air and recirculates the air inside and also removes moisture.

I think I misstated the comment about my filters. My filters are clean and at about 30 days re-clean. I have had the RV about 1 year + . I have an extended warranty and had the zone 2 A/C replaced so there might have been an install issue where they did not seal those areas that require same....Thanks to all for your comments....Greatly appreciate it.

I may have found my issue. I didn't have any sealing issues but I did close my air vents last night which has greatly reduced the condensation near my A/C vents. I'll continue to monitor and update as needed. Thanks for the advice guys.

You say your filters are one year old, but are they clean? I am in Panama City and my filters show need for cleaning every 30 days right now it has been so hot. My home base is in Chilton County Alabama and I have never had the problem you describe there or here, so something definitely isn't right. I do run both my a/c's on high and do use auto, but during these last few days they rarely shut off after noon'ish.

Make sure to run the fan on high constantly not on auto.
