I just chatted alot with hubby about this :)
I don't understand electricity well because it worries me basically, but in the end I understood that we are going to do the excact same thing. We are buying one of those adaptors to bring the 15 amp for the garage ac.
AND---I forgot that when we did the tour of the toyhauler, we were plugged into a 15 amp circuit from the store. We ran the 15K ac on it with no problems. When I ran the micro I tripped the breaker LOL. duh. BUT I now realize that since I was running the 15K ac with a 15 amp to check out the camper----it made sense that JUST a 13.5K ac running on its own cord with no other pull will definitely run on the 15 amp with the adaptor.
voila, this toy garage AC will run even if I am at a 30 amp only pole.
I will be doing this all the time I am sure. that garage needs ac or I don't think kiddo will survive at the beach in high summer.
Hubby explained the 13.5 ac in the garage will be on its own dedicated circuit and have its own cord so nothing else will effect it. So being plugged into the adaptor it should never trip if we use any other things in the camper. I am happy about this :)
So I am thrilled that this will work well for us.
Sniff, sniff... I smell faulty logic. ;-)
