AC/furnace not kicking on

Thermostat set to 'furnace' or 'heat' and fan switch on the thermostat set to 'Auto"?

There has to be 12volt DC at the furnace control board for it to work. It is usually on a fuse (auto type) by itself.

gotta have batteries in the rv the units need 12v .

I have two heat sources connected to my thermostat: the furnace and the a/c heat pump. The a/c heat pump does not use propane and 'hums up top.' (My second a/c is not also a heat pump.) The furnace uses propane and comes out of the floor.
If you have a dual heat source attached to your thermostat, you probably have to adjust them separately.

Could it be the fan switch on the stat is turned off?

I think dahkota may be on the right track.

If your heat is coming from a humming above...that is your heatpump function of your air conditioner and uses (110 volt) electricity, not propane.

On my unit I have 2 separate thermostat controls on the wall. One that operates the Heat Pump/Air Conditioner and one that only operates the propane furnace (which also requires 12 volts).

I personally am not familiar with a thermostat that controls all three, so I will defer to others with that knowledge.

if you just purchased this trailer then get with the dealer or private owner and have them go over what is what. if things don't work have them correct the issue.....

My trailer has a propane furnace. The 12VDC to the AC/Furnace thermostat comes from a circuit breaker that is located under the furnaces access cover plate. If that breaker trips there is no power to the thermostat and furnace and AC are thus inoperable.

I'm very new to all of this and trying to understand, this is different than being connected to shore power?
