Mine has a similar setup for both living area slides and one has the stereo and tv in it. Only difference is that the wires are curled around the hydraulic rams instead of the use of a spring. No problems in 14 years. 120 volts in the slides is a common installation in most units I've seen. Look at the number of kitchen slides out there now.
