We towed our 5th wheel first with a 3500 dually and our 5th wheel weighed around 12,000 lbs without gear and I felt the trailer tugging on my 3500, we had the power but science was working on me, so to be safe with that much weight and I wanted my truck to control the trailer and not the trailer controlling the truck, so we upgraded to a Volvo 420 or a HDT and we are happier than 2 peas in a Pod, we have the power, handling stopping power, durability, and Air Ride is oh sooo good. If you don't have CDL license as I do try out the M1 from Freightliner which is a step or 2 above a 3500.
