air hitch

I have a trailair triglide pin box with a B&W Patriot rail based hitch.

we generally don't get much chucking.. and on bridge seams and the like only really notice on the big dips.. where we get one surge and then the airbag in the pin box absorbs the rebound.

I almost bought a Trailsaver due to the bucking I was getting even with an air ride pin box. One rv.net member suggested I get new shocks on our three year old truck. I bought a set of Bilsteins and what an improvement. It seems the pin box with the airbag is sufficient. Our pin weight is thirty six hundred pounds.

We paid $2800 two years ago and$600 a month ago for a Ford under the bed adapter for our new truck. That's for a Trailer Saver DB3.

I got my air hitch used off of craig's list for $500, timing is every thing

The BD3 can be purchased for less than 3K and is awesome!

Air hitches run about $3000.00 and up.

My 5th Airborne air ride pin box was something like $700, but that was 5 yrs ago. And I did install it myself.
An air ride hitch is considerably more.

My TrailAir pin box was about $900.
