All American Sport questions

Question

Looking at purchasing our first toy hauler. Been doing lots of research, double checking lots of things, and found a lot of options in our price range (low). I have been finding All American Sport fifth wheels for far less than the smaller trailers of other brands that I have looked at. Most of these have been around 2002 MY, and they are a bit of a drive away, so I haven't looked at them yet. Am I right in thinking that they are too good to be true? Are these known lemons?

All I know about them is that they are made by Forest River. I had a Forest River, FW but not a toy hauler and it was a decent FW.

I can't say I've read anything really bad about them over the years. Seem like a decent toy hauler for folks. A good inspection is key, pay attention to any thing that looks like a leak or patch, really go over the roof and seems in detail.

Also thoroughly check the garage floor from the ramp for about two or three feet towards the front for soft spots. This is a vulnerable area in toyhaulers for leaks.

All American Sport is the older name for the current XLR lineup from Forest River. XLR is a great brand...
