Look on the Maxxis web site. They have a chart of recommended tire pressures by weight. The max pressure on the sidewall is not necessarily what you should run, despite many people on this forum believing otherwise. I would trust the tire manufacturer long before anything I read on these forums or was told by a tire dealer.
FWIW, I use D range Maxxis in that size on my fiver at 65 psi. My fiver is pretty much the same weight as yours. I have about 15000 mi on the tires with zero problems with much of the towing done at ambient temps over 100F. They are wearing nice and evenly all the way around. I would guess they're about half worn. Highly recommended.
I would definitely favor Maxxis over any Carlisle regardless of the size or weight range.
