Why is it that virtually any thread that involves a discussion of, or problem with an Andersen hitch is, sooner or later, hijacked by the B&W crowd? The OP is not "unhappy" with his Anderson. He is not asking for recommendations for an alternative hitch. He mentions the B&W merely to provide information to subsequent posters which may help them in solving his problem. Ironically, his problem may be with the B&W, not with the Andersen.
You won't go wrong with the B&W Hitch. Going on 12 years with mine, and have never had a problem with it. I do need to get it repainted, and contacted B&W to see it they would repaint it, but haven't taken it it to them as yet, maybe this next Fall. - N-TroubleExplorerYes it does ocassionally need retorquing but no need to over torque. I always keep a torque wrench in my toolbox. I've also had to re torque the set screws on the coupler after the first few times I used it. They are pretty solid now.
- timfloodExplorerWell I love my Anderson hitch, mine did move a little. I got my torque wrench Out and it needed to be re-torque again. It did not move on my way home.

Read the original post and you will find he ask about the b&W.
Here is the original post......have a new andersen ultimate hitch in my gmc 3500...have it torqued to spec at 55#...it shifts a little in my bed...guess it needs more than 55..any observations? ...on a b & w turn over ball...thx...bo
as suggested by N-Trouble, the turnover ball is most likely loose...torque turnover ball to 90ft lbs. - N-TroubleExplorer

Huh?? The only thing the OP says regarding B&W is that his Andersen is connected to a Turnoverball.
And the Andersen IS a proven hitch... - kennethwoosterExplorerRead the original post and you will find he ask about the b&W.

Had the same problem. It ended up being my B&W Turnover was moving. Check all your bolts are torqued to spec on the B&W, especially the side plates. After re-torquing the B&W mine is rock solid. You don't need to torque down the Andersen more than the recommended 50ft/lbs
X2
your B&W turnover ball hitch bolts need to be torqued to 90ft/lbs. I would check those, do not over torque on the Andersen hitch bolts! - ricaticExplorer

I'm not sure what these posts on the B&W hitches have to do with the subject hitch which is an Anderson ???

It's the B&W Cheerleaders. Mention hitch in any post and they start up. Just ignore them.
Amen to that
a fair point...except...the OP mentioned his Anderson was the model used in a B&W Turnover Ball...and it would be easy to switch to the very well proven B&W Companion hitch if he is unhappy with the Anderson....
