No, it is really a Gooseneck and requires safety chains in most states.
I Was making a point that there is no reason to do a pull test with a Andersen or another hitch when you actually LOOK to see if it's connected properly. That being said there is something inside these hitches that fail and you have no control over. If I had a REESE and see what's happening to people that seem to have done everything right I would either sell my hitch and replace it with a B&W or add a hitch saver.
