I have a 2013 dually with 42,000 miles. Not one hiccup. Super strong motor. Good fuel mileage. I absolutely HATE to get out of this truck at the end of the day.
I full time and whenever I get an oil change or buy PM-22 I always ask the diesel service manager what kinds of problems they have seen with the 6.7. I've asked that question at various Ford dealerships from Florida to Colorado to California - always the same basic reply. So far they all have replied that they haven't seen much of anything at all. It's still early for this motor but it appears to be a good one.
The only advice I got was to always run Ford oil and air filters and change the fuel filter when you're supposed to. And I do.
I would love to hear what 'a lot of troubles' consists of.
