The Pullrite SuperGlide is not as expensive as it use to be. One problem I see with the automatic sliding hitches is they take up a lot of bed space which us with short boxes don't have an abundance of. Even though I haven't had an issue yet with my various short beds I have considered buying a Sidewinder. I have seen the inside of a truck box get damaged from the trailer hitch box hitting the truck box rail on uneven ground. The Sidewinder is safer than a sliding hitch (or standard hitch for that matter) in that regard.
