Great point. One of the videos i saw mentioned this.
Wonder how that would effect the "hitch height memory" function of the auto-level system?
If the hitch height memory function still works, then it's as simple as pushing a button, and go chase a squirrel around the campsite for a minute... lol
For all the positives of that hitch setup, an extra bit of time to hold a button would be just fine by me too. :)
Along with being so easy to lift out, there are no lube points. Not even the ball.
Many times, this height thing has been mentioned, IMO a non factor, heard everything from wearing out the motor, to taking too long to raise, pretty lame excuses for not getting an Andersen.
Too many pluses. From the cost of them, to the ease of installing, removing, no clunking, noise, no lube plate etc, the list goes on .
Can't think of a thing that would ever make me go back to those heavy conventional hitches.
Only negative comments have come from the ones that have never used or owned an Andersen. There has been one negative that I have read about the Andersen, something about damaging the pin box, only one I have read about that had that issue . I certainly have not had any pin box damage. If I remember it was pretty cheaply made pin box, and it deflected.
