I hear you. I upgraded to disc brakes and better suspensions as well.
My hope is that my next unit will come with these upgrades already installed. But as you pointed out my hope and what is actually available may not line up.
I agree with a post above. Heavier axles,suspensions and disc brakes should at least be an option on higher end units
