I think the "weight police" thing is justified. I don't know how many people I have talked to (met in campgrounds) that claim ignorance when asked why they are pulling such a heavy trailer with either a 2500 or 3500 SRW truck. They have no clue about pin weight and how much their truck is rated for. I have seen people max out their tire load many times. Some think that because they have a 3500 (SRW) that it is good for whatever they can attach to the truck. I am glad to see people question weights on this forum. At least it will make people think even if only for a minute. Who knows, someone may even save somebody's life. Oh and by the way. NCHauler contributes to many forums and knows his stuff. You would be wise to listen to him.
