We drove to Emory, Texas, (5 hours) and visited with Mr. Holley. We were able to see the deck and stairs set up and walked on them. They were very sturdy. We ordered a deck with four steps. My husband and Mr. Holley agreed that the steps alone would work just fine. It would give a nice platform to step out on and the stairs and handrail would make exiting the rv easy -- but I just had to have the deck also. Deck and stairs weigh about 100 lbs. My husband could easily pick up the heaviest of the 3 main pieces (about 40 pounds). That is the piece you would get if you just buy the steps. If you buy the steps you can add the deck later. Set up for the steps would only be a couple of minutes. Maybe 10 minutes for the deck and steps. What we liked about this product is there are not a lot of little pieces to keep up with. The website rv-co.com does an accurate job of describing the product and gives pricing. There is a video that shows Mr. Holley setting up the steps. Thanks for the replies to my post.
