No. I considered the newer Chevy with the beefed up frame but mine is paid for. I did a lot of research of the differences and the frame is the major upgrade with a little more power and slightly larger tires. My truck pulls it great with no frame flex that I can see or feel. It stops better than any of the trucks I've had with the aftermarket brake controllers. I've replaced the tires with the factory Michelin 235/80R 17. My insurance agent said they have no requirements for the particular specs as long as it's not ridiculous (like a 1/2 ton pulling it). They will represent me and I have a lot of liability coverage. Not saying it's the 100% right thing to do but I've seen way, way worse.
