Are the six point level systems worth it?

I have seen this option on some of e nicer 5er they haulers. Many times when we camp for just the weekend we roll in late Friday night and I imagine it would be great to back in, push a button, and the unit is level. Do they really work well? Or are they full of issues? Do they truly get the unit level? And sturdy? Thanks
  • One of the must have features when we started looking for new unit.
Now that we have it, while we have only used the unit three times, I would not be without it....
On the option list for our unit it is listed at approx. $2,800, for that price I would retro fit it in a heart beat, though I had been told it was closer to $6k to do aftermarket and that would a little harder to justify.
I also would not own another unit without it now...
  • I'd like to have it, but not willing to give up cargo capacity for the convenience. Also after reading some of the posts about gremlins in the systems, seems like many more components to go bad.

We always camp on soft surfaces, so I just dig small holes for the tires on the high side and drop the power stabilizers.
  • My rig came equipped with auto level. It works great.
I don't know If I would pay the expense to retrofit a unit .
However I would not buy a new unit that did not come with auto level as standard equipment.
  • Only you can tell if the price is worth the convenience. You can buy a lot of fuel with what one of those things cost. :)
  • Works great! Our Raptor came with a remote and the auto level is one of the features you can control. Great when its raining out :)
  • The six-point leveling system was one of my must have's on my Landmark. I roll in, put the chocks down, and push the button. All done, and no cranking. There is a memory feature on it, so when you unhook, you can push the button when you're ready to go, and it will return to the pre-hitch position. Good Luck
