I think a disconnect box might work for what you need.
You just want to remove the box and connect wires direct right?

Alternative would just pull new wire and no box at all. Just leave a loop if you decide to add a TS in the future.
Also check your TS connections. Main cord should connect to the normally closed position and the coil not powered at all.
