I have seen some FWs that have 20' awnings that run from in front of the passthrough door all the way over the kitchen slide to the rear. I sure wish I had that, as I'll be in the same boat with my steps and door somewhat exposed to rain. Biggest issue with covering the gap with a tarp is, what happens if the wind kicks up and you have to retract them?
