Another for starts slow and then turns sharper.
We don't like radios but prefer hand signals. The campground doesn't get to listen to a battle royal if you just wave your hands around.
The other thing is to start with an S-turn.
- As you approach the site, pull over as close to the site as possible.
- When you get part way past the site (how much depends on the rig), you turn hard away and continue forward until you run out of room.
- Then you turn hard back towards the site side.
- If you do it right, the back of the trailer will be angled toward the site and the truck will be at an angle to the trailer, so you are already past the slow to start turning stage.
- Depending on the wheel base of the truck and trailer and how wide the road is, you will need to play with where exactly to start the turn.
The link to another discussion earlier has a nice diagram but leaves out the hard turn back toward the site at the end of the turn, so it doesn't get you past the initial slow to turn stage.
