Looking at toy storage options as I am shopping for a 5th wheel. We want a sep. garage for sure. The problem is most 35'ers have a 10' garage which will fit our side by side no problem but nothing else. Sooner or later I will need to carry a dirtbike for my kid. I am wondering if a receiver hitch could be added to a TH and a receiver hitch mounted dirt bike ramp used. I see people haul Harley's behind 5th wheels in this. fashion and they are much heavier. I guess another option would be to put some D-rings/removable chock in the living area and just roll it through the sliding door?

How wide is your sxs? Honda 500's are only 50" 700's about 59. With the inside of a toyhauler being anywhere from 88" to 92" wide it should be able to carry both, especially if you get one with a 12' or longer garage.

My Pioneer 1000 is 63" wide. I may be able to squeeze a small bike in next to it depending on what TH I get. While he is on a peewee bike I can just throw it in the bed of the pioneer. Just trying to look down the road.

My buddy did exactly that with a Banshee to the back of his Weekend Warrior.Added a receiver and then added 2 steel straps that went from the furthest edge of the holder to the frame on the hauler.Formed a triangle, if you can picture that.Never had any issues.

I would suggest more than on connection point and pay attention to tail drag. I towed a second trailer behind a FW and never dragged, put one of those slide in receiver platforms and never gave it a second thought. Got to camp and I had dragged it so bad that it bent up and smashed fire wood into the back of the trailer. Never felt it and never heard it.

I watched a guy drag a bike into camp. It was better than fireworks.

Only a couple issues with the setup in the photo.
1. Obstructed headlights - travel at night, dawn, dusk or limited visibility times would be illegal and possibly dangerous, especially for others on road at same time. Some states consider obstruction of lighting an equipment violation at any time.
2. Obstructed turn signals.....
3. Reduced cooling, potential overheating in higher temps.
4. Potential overload on front axle or front tires

How long is the side by side? Can you put the bike at the front of the garage sideways and then pull the side by side just up to it?
