Every once in a while I have to back into a blind spot. They are more difficult because you can't see the trailer wheels. So what I ended up doing is attaching a visor mirror to the visor on the passenger side, rolling down the window and adjusting the visor to see the trailer wheels. Of course a spotter is good to make sure you don't run over something. Then it is a matter as how much of a jack knife is required for narrow roads. BTY I perfected my backing skills watching how 18 wheelers do in their driver school; and practicing what I learned in a large parking lot. I would recommend that every one take some kind of driver training that include backing 5th wheel trails. that is how you get the fundamentals to learn the best way.
This is why I love my Power Mirrors!!! I just adjust as necessary to see!!!
Unfortunately power mirrors don't do as well as visor mirrors because they don't have the range for all situations.
