Backup cameras for factory prep option

We just picked up a Forest River Wildcat which has the optional backup camera prep. I need to get the best possible camera whether it be wireless or wired because I will be backing it into our enclosed metal cover which is only 12ft wide. Any help is appreciated, I want to get this installed ASAP.
  • Great, I can live with that for sure. Thanks again Chris, I just ordered it.

  • Picture is fine. I can drive about 600 or more feet away from the trailer before loosing signal. Chris
  • It has a round plug in the hole which I have not removed. But I do believe it is wired for a Furrion. Are you happy with the picture quality of it? If so, that is what I will most likely purchase. Thanks for the help.
  • Does the trailer have a blank mount for the camera as part on the prep option. You need to know what camera it is prep'd for. Have you asked the dealer? Our Big Horn came with mount and power to it for the Furrion camera. There are two and slower back up model and the faster observation. This is what I bought.

The one with the mount included was cheaper than the one that goes in the existing mount, go figure. It is wireless and works well.

Ours was powered from a Sconce Light on the rear wall, so I installed at power switch in the light base for the camera power.
