Go & have those AGMs independently checked. Charge them & load test them. AGMs should have a lifespan of at least 8 years. Wet cells, deep cycle or otherwise, typically ony 3-4 years.
The AGM is worth well over double the wet cell. I swapped out 2 group 24 wet cells for a single AGM 4D. Fewer battery connections to cause problems. No dealing with maintenance either. Yeah, that 4D cost something like $400 but I won't be thinking about it for many years to come.
Not saying that the dealer is trying to do you over but AGMs trump wet cells any day of the week & the ones you have, or had, may have simply been in a discharged state, from which AGMs recover far better than wet cells.
Another suspicion. Never heard of group 34 case size. Group 24, 27, 31, 4D & 8D but not 34. Not in 12V.
