- RustyJCExplorerAs you have seen, the best 5th wheel is whatever the respondent owns.

Would like opinions on what you believe is the best quality 5th wheel excluding high ends like DRV, New Herizion, Spacecraft, etc.
The best fifth wheel is one purchased two years old or older. All of the bugs are worked out and most issues have been repaired by then. Other than that, Mine is the best fifth wheel!!! - jaw111Explorerwe have a Montana Big Sky and are quite happy with it
- roman_travelerExplorerThere's only one perfect fifth wheel and everybody has it. Good luck in whatever you choose.

Initially, we laugh at that one, but sadly, it's all so true. I've had several TT's I liked better than my current 5er. My preference is small rugged well insulated rig I can drag into middle of nowhere. unfortunately, the wife hated those trailers, didn't like to go anywhere in them, thus not wanting to venture off alone very often they didn't get much use. Current 5er is way to big to get into many neat places, to big to be energy efficient, but the wife loves it so we get to head out and play a lot. The other plus is that it's big enough to in effect allow me an indoor "Dog House" for when I do get in trouble.
As for the original question, the Bighorn line has a lot of neat features and RV wise is fairly nice. That said, the RV industry leaves a lot to be desired as far as workmanship and overall build quality. - gitane59Explorer III

The one that's already been de-bugged, hopefully by someone else. :W - padre1944ExplorerOur 2016 Big Horn has been the best RV we've had. Look at owner's forums for manufacturers you are interested in. I researched Montana and Big Horn and found better comments on Heartland so went with that. Not sorry I did yet. Dealer is vital to entire process. A bad dealer can ruin your experience with the best RV.
