I don't put my phone number in craigslist ads. I would rather deal with email spam then phone spam. I set up a junk email account to use for things like craigslist so if it got to crazy with the spam I could just dump the account and create a new one. I am surprised that I have been using that account for many years and other then a few junk mails a week I have not had a problem.
I'm aware one can put one's phone number in the ad that way, but for myself, I don't want my phone number in a craigslist ad in any form. I prefer to screen interested prospects first via email before deciding whether to give my phone number. Personally, I don't want my phone ringing all the time, so am restrictive about giving my number out.
To each his own, everyone does things a little bit differently.
