- tnclaysExplorerX2 on the Wash Wax All by Aero Cosmetics. The kit has a very well built extension handle--can do virtually the entire unit from the ground. The kit also has a degreaser that takes off bugs and black streaks. Have been using it now for 2 years. Absolutely no oxidation and good shiny appearance. I apply once at start of season then again before winterization.
- davidc70ExplorerAs stated earlier, you need a good foundation to start with. If there is anything past minor oxidation a rotary buffer and wool pad are required. I used Duragloss 652 then used a coating of Duragloss 601/105. It gets rinsless washes with Duragloss 932 which has Aqua Wax. All available at duragloss.com. All Duaragloss products are sealants no carnuba.
Dave - VeebyesExplorer IIThere are lots of good waxes & sealers out in the market these days. Most are very easy to use. As a few have mentioned for a lasting shine preparation is everything. The best waxes & sealers are NOT cleaner waxes which do a good job of cleaning & removing light oxidation but do not leave a lasting shine like a dedicated wax or sealant.
- Ford_ManExplorerI have used alot of different waxes and polish offer for RV's etc. What I have found that did the best was Mothers Wax - Reflections. Easy on and easy off. It left a shine on my full body paint Landmark that looked as good as it did when it was brand new.
- SHExplorerHaven't seen a product mentioned that wouldn't do a good job. Rejex is awesome but is a sealer...an important distinction! Excellent for surfaces that are in great/new condition. It will make bugs wipe off very easily.
I tried something new this year on the recommendation of "Captain Glass", a friend that restores/repairs fiberglass boats. It did an impressive job on our new-to-us 2001 Alpenlite.
SeaPower - TimayExplorerI used Poli-glo on my fiver and won't go back to wax! It has a great cleaner that comes with the kit that took my fiberglass back to nearly new and the poli-glo made my 12 year old trailer look like new - literally. The RV on their website is not BS - it works just like they advertise.
Zep has a product that is the same as poli-glo but substantially cheaper. I can't find a link to that product, but a search will pop it up for you.
Tim - tsetsafExplorer IIIMeguiars brand offers great polishes and waxes for fiberglass. Amazon has great prices Here Their best wax is the Flagship boat wax. It is liguid. I use a mop to wipe it on the entire rig (it goes on fine in sunlight and can dry with no ill effects). I do the entire rig and then go around and wipe it off Flagship
- ReneeGExplorerThis is good information. I've been using Gel Gloss wax - apply, let dry, then buff off. Not too bad. In between I use the Gel Gloss wash and wax - package says to towel dry, but that causes streaks. When I just let it drip dry, it's a smooth, streakless finish.
- missourijanExplorerWe like Wash Wax All by Aero Cosmetics. It's a waterless product also developed for airplanes. You spray it on and use the microfiber mop on a long handle to dry it. We have used nothing else since the 5'r was new. There are videos on their website. We have no oxidation anywhere. The initial kit is about $240. It's easy and no ladders or waxing involved. I have no connection with the company, the product was recommended to me by an acquaintance that owned an rv repair company for over 30 years.
- remdog_1ExplorerI just did mine with product called Rejex. Very happy with results. I bought a kit, it contained wax, and a pre-wash. It removes bugs and black streak marks very easily. After recent trip, just hosed off the nose, still clean.
