Funny how people never forget. Dodge may have had some transmission issues in the 90's and maybe early 2000's. I haven't heard of any since then...Does this mean to stay away from Ford diesels also because they had problems with the 6.0 engines, even though the new ones share nothing in common? I think any of the new crop of diesels with an exhaust brake will work just fine in the mountains. Buy the best one you can find at the best price. I would prefer a dually myself...

What about the new 6.7 powerstroke dropping valves, turbo issues, CP4.2 problems without Ford wanting to step up. Want a CP4.2, get on a Duramax.
