Notice the pattern???
Guys with Rams recommend Rams
Those with GM's recommend GM's....well, you get the picture.
Sometimes that's true, but some of us have driven all of them and settled on the one that works the best.
How about one who has OWNED all three????? All dually crew cab versions. All automatic transmission.
2003 Chevy Duramax/Allison
2011 Ford Powerstroke 6.7L
214 Ram Cummins 6.7L
That said, they all had their plus and minus issues.
The Ram has the absolute nicest interior, very comfortable to drive (not really any better or worse than the other two).
The Ford was the easiest do-it-yourself for oil change, with Chevy second here. Chevy was very low to the ground (due to the 215/85R 16 tires on that model year) and new ones have I believe 235/80 R 17's, same as Ram, so more ground clearance, meaning rotund individuals, like me :B, can crawl under and do your own service work.
Chevy was the quickest accelerating of the three, although at the time it was also the lightest weight of the three.
All had the 3:73 rear axle ratio. Fuel mileage, as my driving habits from the first to last have not change, would be (loaded) Ford, Ram then Chevy.
So drive one, drive all, get the best deal, and find the one that to you, has the comfort and conveniences you want.
