Best washer dryer combo

Not sure where to post this, but since it's going in a fifth wheel, here goes!

We're fulltimers, wife just retired, and we're considering a W/D for the Rushmore. The front closet is set up for one (less vent). We've been fulltime for several years, but I'm trying to get things a little more convenient for us.

Curious about the ventless models, and figured there is no place for better info than here. I see prices from around $900 to around $1500. I sure don't mind paying $1500 for the best.

So, how about some input from those of you that have them.

  • I'm a fulltimer and ordered my fiver with the vented Splendide separates. Works great. Most people will say the vented models are the way to go. I completely agree.
  • We have the Dometic ventless combo in our Keystone Alpine. DW did not want to lose the closet space for a stacked unit. I did not want to cut ahole in the 5ver for a vent. It does take about 3 hours for complete cycle from dirty to dry and clean but we start a load before we leave for the day and when we get back the DW hangs them up. I was concerned about condensation in 5ver but never happened. We got a great deal from rvpartscountry.com last year for $645 plus free shipping brand new!!
  • We had the Vented Splendide 2100 in our Montana and first Redwood, now have the Stacked units in our current Redwood. Friends had the Ventless and almost left it by the side of the road.......she hated, I mean really hated that ventless. They now have the stacked units and all is happy.
  • Splendidi 2100 vented, DW said the only way she would consider fulltimeing was if she had a W/D, we'll start our 7th year next week.

2100XC... vented and you can find them as take outs for $600 or less. Did not find any currently on craig's list in your area.
  • Ventless are horrible compared to vented. Don't even consider that option. Apartment pair is better. But most people don't have the room for the stacked pair.
BTW. We have had both. Never again. The vented is by far better.
