Yes they can be installed, and many have done so.
However I've seen cost in the $3,500-$5K range which is too much for my budget.
Nevertheless there are after market options.
I think it is more cost effective to seek out a unit with the auto level option already installed.

But I consider auto level a game changing option.
I cannot stress this feature enough to anyone shopping for a 5'er.
I have a fairly well equipped 5'er and I consider the auto level one of the best features
We too have thought about adding an auto leveling system, but considering everything else we've added, it can wait. I know this is off topic, but talking about a well equipped fiver - we added an electric cord reel. The shop did an excellent job - looks like our fiver came with it. No more dealing with that heavy 50amp cord!
