Best way to switch from shore power to inverter?

I always used my inverter to power a single outlet in previous RV's, but admittedly everything in them except the microwave and AC ran off the batteries. Can't even use my recliners without power in the current 5er so I wired the inverter in whole house through a transfer switch. I also put a small 30 amp relay in my DC converter circuit to automatically turn it off when the inverter is switched on. I still have to manually make sure the AC is off, and the Hot water and fridge are on Propane.
