I love this Fourm. Tons of information that I use. So now at risk of life and limb I'm going to add my penny's worth. I owned a Heartland BH. Bought new in late 2008. It was a 2009 model. Had it three years. 1st year the AC didn't work, the toilet wouldn't hold water, the latch on the microwave wouldn't me to open it, the hot water heater at the hot water side leaked, and one of the bypass valves leaked. Now I don't consider any of these problems serious, but nerve racking. That was the first year and that was a good year. The second year I was ready to push it over a cliff. The third year it was practically trouble free. We were enjoying it. We lived in it 5 months a year all three years. The factory was absolutely no help. But now all the original owners are gone and it is a part of Thor. And it may be better. Even with all the problems I had I was considering a Landmark. The BH fills a need. They are nice for the money. To finish my story, I went to look at a Landmark and they were nice then we looked at a MS setting right next to the Landmark. No comparison in looks or price. We are enjoying our MS. And yes it has problems also, but nothing else compares!
I would totally agree with your post. Nothing is perfect but the quality of materials used is different in these RV's and price reflects it.
Buy what you want and I hope everyone to be happy with what they have. - kakampersExplorerNow that's the kind of commentary that is helpful...knowlegable info based on experience!! However, I did the same type of comparison, side by side, and came to the opposite conclusion, and we are enjoying our Landmark.

- larry_barnhartExplorerI have read many stories on rv's for years and the MS brand has had lots of problems that should not be on an high end rv so I feel nothing is perfect.

If you are looking for a QUALITY RV I would suggest you look elsewhere!
Here is my original reply.
I stand by my simple non degrading reply. - Cummins12V98Explorer IIII guess I will let everyone else decide if I have been out of line on this subject.

I think this "Big Horn 5th. wheel " has reached it's maximun level of benefit and is sliding to personality conflicts as opposed to an open and positive exchange of opiniions.

If you respected others and their choices, this wouldn't have become an issue...I noticed from other threads you participated in, I'm not the only person, male or female, that thinks you have to be right and only you make the proper choices...anyone with anything other than a MS, Dodge truck or B&W hitch have made bad choices...like I said "get over yourself"!!
There's a reason I stay away from most RV forums such as this one. This thread is one of them. Nothing but bantering and baiting, with very little in the way of helpful advice.
I've been a satisfied Heartland owner since 2008, and we use our rig on a seasonal site for most of the summer. And I've been known to call out Heartland on several occasions on the owner's forum, without being censured. There I'm known as the "Profically Gabby Member." - kakampersExplorerIf you respected others and their choices, this wouldn't have become an issue...I noticed from other threads you participated in, I'm not the only person, male or female, that thinks you have to be right and only you make the proper choices...anyone with anything other than a MS, Dodge truck or B&W hitch have made bad choices...like I said "get over yourself"!!

By the way, I'm a woman...not a "dudette"...you really don't know to be respectful of others, do you? Having an opinion is one thing...talking down to people is a whole other story.
See this is your problem, all you do is take everything in the worst way. I meant no offense in my gender question.
All I said was to look elsewhere and that became a personal attack on you, wow!
Have a nice Sunday, Miss.
