I do not find the manual slider a problem. At check in I slide it back and after hooking up and getting out of the street I slide it forward. With my front box and the way the B&W handle works I have to slide it to unhook or hook up. Just part of the routine and never have to worry and forget to moving while parking or getting out of a site.
