- yankeecamperExplorerI fixed mine about three years ago tried everything. then found Plastic-Mend.Check it out at www.plasti-mend
- SHExplorerWe had a crack in the black tank of our previous rig. RV service center called in a Plastic Welder (jobber) who fixed it in a couple of minutes. I believe it cost around $100.
- shadows4NomadI repaired a hole in one of my sons friends plastic gas tank with JB Weld. I would think if it would stand up to gasoline it should stand up to human waste. Good luck, John

If it is an actual small hole use a boiler plug.
Got an example of that boiler plug?
Having been around boilers for 40 yrs. a boiler plug is not what I would be using.
Maybe an expanding rubber plug, or a screw with a seal.
JB Weld 'marine'.
Run a stainless steel screw into hole and then cover with the JB - darsbenExplorer IIIf it is an actual small hole use a boiler plug.
- Charlie_D_ExplorerIf the tank is black it is probably ABS. My previous rig has a 3" long crack at the outlet nozzle. I sanded lightly and put on several coats of JB Weld. Held for the 4 remaining years I had it.
- MFLNomad IIIf your black tank is ABS, I would use ABS cleaner, followed by black ABS cement, to cover small hole. If it was a large crack, Id use fiberglass screen, for added strength.
Make sure the repair area is completely dry first. Use several thin coats, letting cement dry somewhat, between coats.
Jerry - L2RExplorerSomeone may have a better method but for starters, how small is small?
Can't say for sure what the tanks are made of but polyethelyne is popular for water bottles in general
If no one here comes up with a better idea, I might look into a plastic welder from Harbor freight where you soften the surrounding plastic with a solder gun, then add some plastic from a rod made of plastic to fill in the hole. I would guess the polyethelyne rods would be available.

I had a reputable automotive painter fill in some holes in my Goldwing before painting it for me and it came out perfect.
Good luck
