I have been towing a FW for 22 years, but the last 16 with a short bed Ford, and non-sliding hitches. I've never tested, to see how short I can turn/back, due to the fact each time will have a different point that I could hit. I think knowing that you can back to xx degrees before you hit, will get you in trouble at some time.
Chris has a good point, that a longer trailer, axles being farther from the pin, will cause the FW to cut inside more on a continuing turn.
I'm curious Chris, how far is your pin center behind your cab, without using the slider? On my Ford, the pin center is 40"s behind the cab, and one inch ahead of center of rear axle.
