I'm curious Chris, how far is your pin center behind your cab, without using the slider? On my Ford, the pin center is 40"s behind the cab, and one inch ahead of center of rear axle.

37.5" Jerry. Plus 12 inches of slide and I am at 49.5 and should be able to do 90 degree jackknife when in rear position, not that I want to. I asked B&W about towing in the rear position and they said it was not designed for that. However if you look at how it works I do not see a big issue with doing that. I come and go between the house and the communities storage lot with it in the rear position. I may give it a little test on the road. Oregon leaves their scales on when unmanned, so I could check rear axle weight with it back.
I towed two different 5th wheels with tow different long bed trucks, so this short bed is new to me, with just three 100 mile round trip test tows.
Saturday will be the beginning of a 1650-1750 mile trip South, so I will get more experience with it. I did drive a short day cab Titan 90 Chevy with a 8550 gal tanker trailer from 1976-79.
