About 15 years ago, State Farm did the same thing to me. Tire blew out and took the gas tank filler tube with it on a '86 D150. Nothing I said could change their determination that it was a collision. Guess what, I changed insurance companies.
A tire is a part of the motor vehicle. So a part of your vehicle can collide with a part of your vehicle? Give me a break.
