I am not saying Reese is a bad hitch. On the contrary, it is a very good hitch.
But it certainly has a larger learning and use curve compared to other hitches. Learning as in exact proper hitch up, and use, in having to do pull test and other extra work. Reese is just unforgiving when it comes to not doing all things right.
That said, the Binkley head on the Hensley BD 3 is not nearly as fussy as a Reese.
Most bed damage I have seen over the years have a Reese or similar hitch with the "high handle".
I would not waste the money with a bed saver on a Hensley or B&W.
