Brake controller install

So I ended up purchasing the Prodigy P2 brake controller. I was hoping you guys could take a look at where I mounted it and plugged it in to make sure everything looks good. See below photos, Thanks:

  • No problems here. You might have to connect the power lead. I dont remember if Dodge did it for us or not?
  • Basically that's where I put mine, except on the other side. I'm right handed.

Mine was in the same area but on the right hand side where i could use my right hand on the controls...

Never had any problems with my Prodigy P2 brake controller...

  • Looks fine. I have a P2 and opted to use the steel mounting bracket in-lieu of that plastic cradle. Just preference I guess. It's been a great controller and like the others have stated, no problems.

  • If you go through your manual, Dodge is very specific in saying nothing should be mounted there. It's a knee bolster and it's designed to save you form being crippled in an accident.
It took me an extra 20 minutes to mount mine in a cubby in the center dash.
    It's your choice though.
  • Thanks for all the responses. I got no response over at a Dodge specific forum. This forum is great! The unit turned on when I plugged it in, so I assume it is getting power.

What cubby did you install it in? The storage spot under the factory radio? I replaced mine with a double-din Navi unit. I also have a front bench seat as well, which might change things. I will have to see how I like it where it is now. Thanks for the heads up, food for thought!!!!
  • First time you catch a knee or shin on it I'm certain you will be moving it.
