It was the clip closest to the magnet and it still was not visible until I too the clip off the wire.
Finally found the problem. It was the wire clip nearest the magnet on the right rear. Clip had to be removed before you could see the bare wire.
I disconnected and reconnected LF, RF, LR and then even removed the wire from the axle going to the right rear before I removed the hub.
Luckily we live on a dirt road and very few neighbors so all the testing I did was easy.
It never once shorted out when it was sitting still. It had to be rolling and warm/hot surfaces.
Don't have much hair left but I was about to pull out what was left.
